AGCO cuts Q3 production 19% and lowers 2026 outlook, Benzinga reports
Benzinga reporter Akanksha Bakshi reports, in an article Yahoo Finance republished on October 29, 2026, that AGCO Corp. (NYSE: AGCO) posted third-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.05, against an 86 cent consensus. Benzinga says sales of $2.263 billion fell short of a $2.325 billion consensus. It reports that AGCO trimmed its 2026 adjusted EPS outlook to about $5.50, down from a $5.50 to $5.75 range, and cut sales guidance to $9.8 billion to $10 billion.
For dealers, Benzinga reports a sharp production cut. It says AGCO built 19% less in the third quarter than a year earlier and expects full-year output to drop about 5%. According to the report, CEO Eric Hansotia described the company as matching production to retail demand and actively managing dealer inventories. Benzinga gives no dealer inventory figures. It also reports that industry tractor retail sales through September were down 9% in North America, down 17% in Brazil and down 1% in Western Europe, and that Hansotia sees some recovery coming in 2027.
Benzinga also reports that North America sales rose 34.8% to $485.3 million. It says operating income there was $13.8 million, compared with a $42 million loss a year earlier, and that higher sales, higher production volumes and roughly $13 million in tariff refunds helped. The detail comes from Benzinga’s report. AGCO has not confirmed it in anything we have seen.
